This month we are highlighting small businesses owned by incredible black women. Some are Ampjar members, recent finds, and personal favorites, regardless, they’re all beautiful, unique discoveries and ones we are delighted to share with our community!

Co-founder & CEO Toyin Omisore designed a premium brand of activewear and athleisure apparel. She is Liberian-Nigerian American, born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island. She was inspired to create this brand to unapologetically create a lifestyle where brown skin is at the forefront and not an afterthought. There are many women, like herself, that value health and wellness in every aspect of their lives, so Roam loud is a brand that supports that journey through premium pieces where we are seen and celebrated.

  Sincerely Ria was created with the main values of the founder, philanthropist & top model  – Mariama Diallo – inclusivity, transparency & authenticity. They are dedicated to helping women feel empowered & beautiful in their clothing while challenging the outdated idea that beauty is pain. SR’s mission is to celebrate not only a woman’s beauty but the woman herself.

Sip Herbals 

Sip Herbals was founded by Kelly and Orleatha, two foodies with a passion for coffee. They’ve both had their own paths to discovering the power of real food, so when they realized that coffee was a problem, they got to work and created a spectacular coffee substitute that is the REAL DEAL.


Partake Cookies

As a Black female CEO & founder, Denise is passionate about raising awareness of Black and female entrepreneurship and increasing opportunity for women and people of color seeking careers in the food industry. When Vivienne, her daughter, was diagnosed with severe food allergies as an infant, she came up short on healthy snacks that were safe to eat and delicious. Frustrated by the lack of options, Denise left her corporate job and set out to make her own, and that’s how Partake was born.

Founded in 2019 by Maryssca Dugasse, From Duella started in Perth, Western Australia. Maryssca has an incredible passion for curls and understands the challenges faced when trying to find hair care products that are suitable for curly hairs with safe quality ingredients. After noticing a gap in the Australian market for ethical curly hair products, From Duella was born.

It was essential for Maryssca to supply hair care products and create a brand dedicated to empowering and educating individuals to embrace their diversity.


Skin Buttr

SkinButtr is a beauty brand created by Tatiana Elizabeth. Her mission is to build confidence, simplify your routine, and promote healthy glowing skin, sustainably. Their body care line consists of whipped shea-based body butter and scrubs. Their skincare line is all-natural and hydrating with a step-by-step system made to streamline your routine. Both body and skincare lines were designed to leave your skin fresh glowing and deeply moisturized.

Karen Founder of OUI the People created OTP to say YES to thoughtful beauty. A product that doesn’t fixate on the idea of lawlessness. she believes beauty shouldn’t come at the expense of our psyche but rather create efficacious products, that are thoughtfully designed, and helps you feel comfortable in the skin you are already in.
